The Electricity Services Division, Thimphu has conducted Electrical safety awareness campaign to the public, teachers and students of Yangchengatshel Middle Secondary School, Chamgang on 21st October 2014. The awareness campaign has been conducted by Sangay, Engineer and a team from ESD, Thimphu in presence of Gup, DagalaGewog, and Vice Principal of School. There were more than 500 participants which includes general public, students and the faculty members of the school.
A safety campaign has been commenced with the standard safety presentations and later displaying all safety video clips with a detailed explanation of all DOs and DON’Ts of usage of electricity at homes, electrical hazards outside home and near various electrical installations.
A tea with snacks were served during the short break and later served with light refreshment in between.
All queries and doubts raised by the public and teachers were explained and clarified during the question – answer session.
